Police investigating drive-by shooting in Renfrew

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after a shooting was reported in the community of Renfrew last night.

At approximately 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, police were called to the 1500 block of 4 Street N.E., after people in the area reported a shooting.

It is believed a light-coloured Honda or Toyota sedan was travelling south on 4 Street when it stopped beside a parked, newer-model, black Mercedes Benz sedan. The passenger in the Honda shot multiple times into the other vehicle and then both vehicles fled south on 4 Street.

Investigators searched the area and found no evidence that anyone was injured in the incident, and no victims have come forward. Due to how the shooting unfolded, it is not believed to be a random attack.

Police believe that the Mercedes Benz sustained damage and are asking Calgarians to report any vehicles matching this description that appear to have bullet holes.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers anonymously using either of the following methods:
