Police investigating assault at Market Mall

The Calgary Police Service is investigating an assault alleged to have occurred at Market Mall.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, a group of youth were walking through the mall when they encountered another group of youth. A verbal altercation occurred, which then allegedly escalated to violence.

Four individuals received minor injuries in the incident.

Through CCTV, police have identified four people they would like to speak with about the incident. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the young men.

The four young men are described as:

  • black male, 16 to 19 years old, approximately 6’1” tall with a stocky build and short, black hair. He was wearing a green jacket with light-coloured pants.
  • black male, 16 to 18 years old, approximately 5’0” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hoodie and white pants.
  • black male, 16 to 18 years old, approximately 5’11” tall, with a medium build and short, black hair. He was wearing a red jacket and black pants.
  • black male, 16 to 18 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants.
