Police investigating arson at contracting company

A local contractor’s office was intentionally set on fire last fall and despite investigators best efforts, we have been unable to identify who is responsible. We are now reaching out to the public for help to see if anyone has information that can help move the investigation forward.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, a man threw burning objects through the window of the former office of Cougar Contractors Limited, located at 6227 2 St. S.E. The fire caused extensive damage to the building.

A sport utility vehicle was captured on nearby CCTV driving up to the building prior to the fire, and a man was captured throwing the objects into the business. We are releasing the video in the hopes it will help generate new tips.
