Police investigate undetermined death

Our Homicide Unit is currently on scene investigating the death of a man that occurred earlier this morning in the downtown area.

At approximately 5 a.m., today, Sunday, June 1, 2025, police were called to the 1100 block of Third St. S.E., for reports that a man may have fallen from a high-rise balcony. Upon arrival, a man was located in medical distress and transported to hospital in life-threatening condition where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the man’s death remain under investigation.

There is currently no threat to public safety.

As police continue to speak to witnesses and gather evidence, road closures in the area are expected to remain in effect for several hours.
