At that time, it is believed that a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle, operated by a man in his 60s, was travelling northbound on Centre Street N when a 2002 Acura MDX SUV travelling southbound turned left across the path of the motorcycle. It is believed the motorcycle struck the SUV causing the rider to become dismounted and suffer critical injuries. The driver of the SUV was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The rider was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
