Police investigate suspicious death in Temple

We are currently investigating a suspicious death in the northeast community of Temple.

At approximately 7:15 p.m., on Thursday, April 7, 2022, we were called to the 300 block of Templeview Drive N.E., for reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, police located an unconscious woman in medical distress who appeared to have a gunshot wound. She was transported to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition and later succumbed to her injuries.

Officers searched the residence and surrounding area for evidence and are currently investigating the circumstances of the suspicious death.

An autopsy is scheduled for 8 a.m. this morning, April 8, 2022, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

If determined to be a homicide, this will be Calgary’s 10th homicide of 2022.
