Police investigate suspicious death in Redstone

Our Homicide Unit is on scene investigating a suspicious death in the northeast community of Redstone.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. today, Sunday, April 21, 2024, we were called to a residence in the 100 block of Redstone Common N.E., for reports of a woman in medical distress. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, and the woman was declared deceased at the scene.

One man was taken into custody at the scene in relation to the suspicious death investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Until the completion of the autopsy, no further information can be shared.
