Police Investigate Suspicious Death in Forest Lawn

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a suspicious death in the city’s southeast.

At approximately 4:50 a.m., this morning, Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, officers were called to the 2400 block of 47 Street S.E., after a neighbour reported hearing what they believed to be gunshots coming from a home.

Officers entered the home in question and located a man in his 20s who was deceased.

Several men were seen running from the home and leaving in a four-door sedan. Police are working to confirm more specific details about the vehicle and will release further information as it becomes available.

An autopsy will be completed early next week, at which time the victim’s name will be released.
