Police investigate single-vehicle collision along Crowchild Trail, N.W.

We continue to investigate a collision that occurred on Crowchild Trail N.W., near Stoney Trail.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a green, 2003 Ford F-150 was travelling east on the ramp from Crowchild Trail to southbound Stoney Trail, N.W.

The driver, a man in his 60s, appears to have lost control of the vehicle while negotiating the curve, resulting in it rolling over.

The truck came to rest, upside down, on the east side of the roadway.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in this collision. Excessive speed is being investigated as a possible factor.
