Police investigate shooting in Carrington
Police are asking for information after one man was seriously injured in a targeted shooting last night in the city’s northwest.
On Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at approximately 10 p.m., police were called for multiple reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Carrington Boulevard N.W.
It was reported that at least two vehicles were involved in a shooting, resulting in one of the vehicles coming to a stop near 144 Avenue N.W. and Carrington Boulevard N.W.
Witnesses reported that the suspects then fled in an unknown vehicle.
Upon arrival to the scene, police located one victim, a 19-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.
At this time, there are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
While it is believed the shooting was a targeted incident, any act of violence in our city is deeply concerning and is taken very seriously. Targeted does not mean harmless and these incidents can and do put innocent people at risk.
“We continue to be concerned about gun violence in our city. We recognize many Calgarians are extremely concerned about these incidents and we are asking for anyone who may have information or CCTV to contact police.”
