Police investigate serious-injury traffic incident

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is currently investigating a traffic incident that occurred last night in the city’s northwest that left a man in life-threatening condition.  

At approximately 11:25 p.m., on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, an incident occurred in the westbound lanes of Country Hills Boulevard N.W., on the approach to the Beddington Trail N.W. interchange.

At that time, it is believed a white 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 21-year-old-woman, was travelling westbound along Country Hills Boulevard N.W., when one of the passengers, a 21-year-old-man, climbed out of the front passenger window and attempted to access a motorcycle in the cargo box of the Chevrolet while the vehicle was in motion.

The man fell from the vehicle and was critically injured. He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

The driver and the other occupants of the Chevrolet were uninjured and remained at the scene.

Neither excessive speed nor drugs are considered a factor in this incident.

Alcohol is being investigated as a factor only on the part of the injured passenger in this collision. The driver is not believed to have been impaired.
