Police investigate series of break and enters

We are investigating multiple break and enter incidents that occurred in different areas of the city last month. Investigators believe these incidents may be connected to a recent trend involving travelling crime groups.

Between Friday, Dec. 5, and Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, officers responded to reports of a break and enter at a residence located in the 0-100 block of Hamptons Grove N.W.

Investigators believe an unknown suspect gained entry into the home by damaging a patio door and window.

Once inside, the suspect is believed to have targeted the primary bedrooms, where they took high-value jewelry.

At approximately 5 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, police were called to a separate break and enter at a residence, located in the 200 block of Edenwold Drive N.W., where it is believed that a suspect forced entry into the home by smashing a rear glass sliding door.

Investigators believe the suspect searched through the residence’s three bedrooms, targeting drawers and closets. At this time, it is unknown whether anything was taken, as vehicle keys, vehicles, electronics, credit cards and several pieces of jewelry were left untouched.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a break and enter at a residence in the 7000 block of California Blvd N.E.

It is believed that two male suspects gained access to the backyard by climbing over a fence and then forced entry into the home by smashing the glass on a rear sliding door.

Investigators believe the suspects stole high-end luxury accessories and $300 in Canadian currency before fleeing the scene.

In each incident, electronic and trackable items were left untouched, and homeowners were not present at the time of these offences.

After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspects, police are now turning to the public for assistance.

In all incidents, the suspects were believed to have been driving a grey or silver 2024/2025 Toyota Sienna XSE. The vehicle was last seen in the following areas:

Between Friday, Dec. 5, and Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, in the northwest area of the City.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, around 5 p.m., in the community of Edgemont.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, around 5:40 p.m., in the community of Monterey Park.

While these investigations remain active and officers continue working to identify and locate the suspects and vehicles, we want to alert homeowners and provide information on prevention.

Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including documents, key fobs, electronics, mail and sports equipment.
Lock your vehicle, close all windows and park in a secure parkade when possible.
Avoid holding doors open for strangers entering parkades or residential lobbies.
Never share alarm codes, pass keys or security cards, even with friends or family.
Build community by getting to know your neighbours and watching out for one another.

Trust your instincts and watch for unfamiliar vehicles or individuals lingering on your street.
