Police investigate hit-and-run incident involving pedestrian
We continue to investigate a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian with serious injuries over the weekend.
On Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., we were called to the 300 block of 10 Avenue S.W., for reports of a collision.
At the time, a 19-year-old man was crossing the street, when a driver operating a dark-coloured sedan, believed to be a BMW 3 series, or similar, was travelling west on 10 Avenue S.W., and struck the pedestrian.
The man was knocked to the ground, sustained serious injuries, and was transported to hospital.
The driver did not remain at the scene.
Our Traffic Section continues to investigate this incident. Anyone with dashcam footage, or who knows the whereabouts of the dark-coloured sedan, which is believed to have front-end damage, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
