Police investigate hit-and-run collision in Saddle Ridge

We are investigating a hit-and-run collision that occurred early this morning in the northeast community of Saddle Ridge.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. today, Sunday, April 28, 2024, it is believed that multiple parties were involved in a dispute in the 10000 block of 46th Street N.E. As the dispute escalated, a man in his 20s was in the roadway when another man in his 20s struck him with a newer-model Jeep.

The pedestrian was knocked to the ground and dragged a short distance before the driver of the Jeep fled the scene. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and his friends transported him to the hospital.

Speed and impairment are not considered to be factors in this collision.
