Police investigate fatal shooting

We are on scene investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this afternoon in the northeast community of Marlborough Park.

We were called just before 2 p.m., today, Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, for reports of a shooting that occurred in a parking lot at the Trans Canada Centre, located in the 1400 block of 52 Street N.E. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased man. Two additional victims were located at the scene and transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. It is believed offenders fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Officers immediately flooded the area and believe there is no further threat to public safety. At this time, patrol officers continue to circulate the city searching for suspects. Investigators have also begun collecting CCTV footage from the area and speaking to witnesses.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023.
