Police investigate fatal shooting in Douglasdale

Our Homicide Unit is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this morning in the southeast community of Douglasdale.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., today, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, we responded to reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Douglas Ridge Circle S.E. Upon arrival, one man was located deceased.

This incident is believed to be targeted.

Our homicide investigators are on scene gathering CCTV footage and information from witnesses.

An autopsy will be scheduled later this week.

As the investigation is in its early stages, no further details are available at this time.
