Police investigate fatal collision on Nose Hill Drive N.W.

Our Traffic Section continues to investigate a two-vehicle collision that occurred yesterday afternoon and sadly resulted in one man succumbing to his injuries.

At approximately 3:29 p.m., on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, we responded to a collision that occurred in the intersection of Nose Hill Drive N.W. and Scenic Acres Boulevard N.W.

At the time, a 2024 Toyota RAV4 was travelling southbound on Nose Hill Drive N.W. At the same time, a 2004 Mini Cooper S was turning left from northbound Nose Hill Drive N.W. onto westbound Scenic Acres Boulevard N.W., crossing into the path of the Toyota. The Toyota struck the Mini Cooper on the front-passenger side.  

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 50-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

The Mini Cooper had three occupants in the vehicle. The driver, a 79-yer-old woman, and the rear passenger, a 55-year-old man, both suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital. The front passenger, a 90-year-old man, was transported to hospital in serious-life-threatening condition, but sadly later succumbed to his injuries.

Speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in this collision.
