Police investigate downtown stabbing

One man is in life-threatening condition following a stabbing that occurred yesterday in downtown Calgary.

At approximately 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, we responded to the 0-100 block of Dermont Baldwin Way S.E., for reports of a stabbing and robbery. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Immediately following the incident, members of the Mounted Patrol Team who were already patrolling the area located and arrested two suspects nearby.

It appeared that one of the two suspects also had stab wounds and he was transported to the hospital as a precaution. It was later determined that the injuries were related to a previous incident that occurred several days earlier.

Charges against both suspects are pending and the investigation is still ongoing.
