Police investigate collision involving pedestrians

We continue to investigate a collision that occurred yesterday afternoon, leaving two people seriously injured.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a man in his 50s, driving a 2020 Honda Pilot, turned from westbound 20 Ave. N.E. onto southbound 32 Street N.E. 

The vehicle struck two pedestrians walking across 32 Street N.E.  It's believed they were in the crosswalk at the time.

Both pedestrians - a man in his 50s and a man in his 20s - were thrown several meters and suffered serious injuries.  

They were rushed to hospital where they currently remain.

The driver of the Honda Pilot remained at the scene and is coopearting with police.

Speed, alcohol, and drugs are not believed to be factors in this collision.
