Police investigate collision in the city’s northwest

Our Traffic Section continues to investigate a collision involving two vehicles that occurred in the northwest.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a white 2018 Nissan Murano was travelling east on Nose Hill Drive N.W., approaching the intersection with 87 Street N.W. The Nissan was occupied by the driver and one other passenger.

At the same time, a white 1998 Dodge Dakota was travelling west on Nose Hill Drive N.W., and turning left onto 87 Street N.W. The Dodge was occupied by the driver and two additional passengers.

As the Dodge turned left across the path of the Nissan, it was struck by the Nissan.  

The occupants of the Dodge suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS. 

The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS. 

The passenger of the Nissan suffered serious, life-altering injuries and was transported to hospital.

Impairment or speed are not considered to be factors in this collision.
