Police investigate break and enter and stolen urn

We are asking for the public’s help to locate an urn that was stolen from a home in Aspen Woods last month.

It is believed that sometime between Thursday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, unknown individuals forcefully entered a residence in the zero to 100 block of Aspen Acres Link S.W., while the homeowners were away. When the homeowners returned, they discovered their black, 2012 Kia Sportage SUV, had been stolen, and reported multiple other items missing from the residence, including jewelry and an urn containing the ashes of a family member.

The loss of the urn has been devastating for the family involved and we are asking anyone with information of its whereabouts to please contact police. The urn is described as white with gold trim.

Photos of the missing urn and stolen vehicle are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
