Police investigate altercation at southwest residence

Detectives are currently investigating an incident at a southwest home early this morning that resulted in serious injuries to a man.

Police were called around 2:30 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, to a home in the 900 block of 67 Avenue S.W., for reports of a break and enter and aggravated assault. An altercation occurred between the homeowner and another individual that resulted in serious injuries to the individual. The injured man was taken to hospital where he remains in serious, but stable condition.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is still ongoing. Police have not yet been able to speak with the injured man and further details cannot be confirmed or released at this time.
