Police charge man with recent bank robbery

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man with a recent bank robbery.

On Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a man entered a bank located at 915 17 Avenue S.W. The man approached a wicket and presented a robbery note to a bank employee.

The employee complied with the demand and the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Shortly after, District 1 patrol members circulated the area and located the offender. The man was arrested without incident.

Gavin ANDERSON-SPENCE, 28, of Calgary, who at the time of arrest had unrelated outstanding warrants, was charged with robbery and obstruction.
