Police charge man and woman in residential break and enter

We have charged a man and woman in relation to a break and enter that occurred in the city’s southwest earlier this month. 

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., it is believed a man gained entry into a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Pump Meadow Crescent S.W., and stole approximately $1,000 dollars worth of various personal property including jewelry. No one was home at the time of the incident.

After the homeowner returned to the residence and noticed items were missing, they reported the incident to police. After reviewing CCTV footage, officers obtained a physical description of the suspect and began investigating.

On Friday, March 7, 2025, officers were notified that a man matching the description of the suspect had been charged in an unrelated incident. Investigators were able to confirm the man’s identity and evidence confirmed the man was also responsible for the break and enter.

As investigators worked to track down the items that were taken from the residence, they obtained CCTV footage from a local pawn shop of a woman who was believed to be trafficking the stolen property taken from the residence.

Police executed a search warrant last week which resulted in the arrest of the woman.

As a result, Tyler Peter REID, 35, of Calgary, is charged with one count of break and enter and one count of failing to comply with a court order.

Ashley Marie HOLST, 29, of Calgary, is charged with one count each of trafficking stolen property, possession of stolen property and uttering a forged document.

Police were able to recover the stolen property.
