Police asking for help to locate truck involved in hit and run

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is asking for help to locate a truck that hit a pedestrian in the parking lot of Pearce Estate Park, located in the Inglewood-Ramsay area, before driving away.

At approximately 4 p.m., on Friday, July 26, 2019, a woman in her late 20s was walking through the north end of the parking lot when the driver of the truck turned a corner and struck her. She was thrown a few metres by the impact.

It is believed the driver of the truck then quickly left the parking lot, driving over a curb and hitting a metal gate on the way out. The woman was transported to hospital in serious condition and the driver never returned to the scene.

The truck is believed to have been a white, newer-model Toyota Tacoma, with tinted windows and raised suspension.

Anyone with information on the collision, the identity of the driver, or the whereabouts of the vehicle, is asked to contact the Calgary Police Traffic Section at 403-567-4000, the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers anonymously through the following methods:
