Police ask for help to locate domestic suspect

The Calgary Police Service is asking for help to locate a man accused of multiple domestic offences.

Damien Chris TAYPOTAT, 36, is wanted on 22 outstanding warrants, including for break and enter, assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, theft under $5,000, and failing to comply with court orders.

It is believed that TAYPOTAT forced his way into the house of a person with whom he had a prior relationship, threatened her with an axe, and then assaulted her before fleeing the home.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

TAYPOTAT is described as Indigenous, 5’7” tall, with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes. He spends time in Calgary and in the surrounding communities.
