Police ask for help to identify man who exposed himself

The Calgary Police Service is asking for help to identify a suspect in two cases of indecent exposure that occurred in southeast Calgary.

At approximately 8 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, a woman was walking near the Deer Valley Shopping Centre when a man drove up beside her in a car. The woman looked in the car and saw that the man had exposed himself and was masturbating.

Three days later, at approximately 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, a man with a similar description approached two teenage girls in the Sherwood School field and exposed himself. The girls left the area and the suspect fled.

Police believe the cases may be connected.

The man is described as South Asian, in his late 20s or 30s, with a medium build, short wavy black hair and brown eyes. In the first incident, he was wearing long, beige pants and a t-shirt.

The vehicle he was driving is described as a dark green, two-door Volkswagen sedan.

Anyone with information about these incidents or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Calgary Police Service non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through either of the following methods:
