Police ask for help in serious assault investigation

The Calgary Police Service is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect in a serious assault investigation.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, a man was riding a westbound CTrain when it is believed he was assaulted by another man on the train. The victim was struck in the face and a struggle ensued, after which the victim fell to the ground in medical distress.

The suspect then fled the train, which was stopped at the 7 Street LRT platform in the Downtown. The victim was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and he remains in critical condition.

The suspect is described as Black, in his mid 30s, 5’8” in height. He was wearing a black jacket with a light brown hoodie underneath, green cargo pants, and black boots. He was carrying a skateboard and had his hood up.
