Police arrest one man accused in Darby SHADE homicide

One of the men accused in the homicide of Darby Chase SHADE was arrested this evening by the Wetaskiwin RCMP. Darby SHADE was identified as the victim in a homicide that occurred in the community of Rosscarrock on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.

Matthew CRANE-WATCHMAKER was taken into custody on a warrant for second-degree murder and he will be transported to Calgary tonight.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the media, public and RCMP for their assistance in locating CRANE-WATCHMAKER.

Police are still asking for the public’s help to locate the second man wanted in connection with the case, 25-year-old Christian WHITEBEAR.

WHITEBEAR is described as Indigenous, approximately 5’11” tall and 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
