Philip AFOLABI arrested in Regina

A man wanted on warrants in connection with multiple domestic offences has been arrested by the Regina Police Service on an unrelated matter and will be returning to Calgary to face his charges here.

Philip Prince AFOLABI, 27, of Calgary, is facing 43 outstanding charges in Calgary, including sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, overcoming resistance by choking, criminal harassment, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a controlled substance and multiple breaches of court orders and an emergency protection order.

Investigators are currently working out the details of when and how AFOLABI will return to Calgary, and no date for this has been set.

Due to the domestic nature of the charges, no further information about the alleged offences can be released to protect the privacy of the victim.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the Regina Police Service for their assistance in apprehending AFOLABI.
