Pedestrian injured in collision on Macleod Trail

We are seeking public assistance for information in relation to a collision that occurred yesterday evening.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a pickup truck operated by a man in his 40s was traveling south in the 5500 block of Macleod Trail. At the same time, a 20-year-old pedestrian was walking on the west sidewalk. The pedestrian reportedly stumbled onto the road in front of the truck. at which point the truck struck pedestrian with the passenger-side mirror. The pedestrian fell to the ground and the truck remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. The driver of the truck was uninjured. 

Neither speed nor impairment appear to be contributing factors in this collision.
