Overnight fatal shooting in Sunalta

One man is dead following an overnight shooting in the community of Sunalta.

We were called to an apartment building in the 1600 block of 15 Street S.W., around 1:15 a.m., on Thursday, April 9, 2020, after multiple people reported the sound of gunshots. When our officers arrived, they found one man with life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to hospital where he later died.

Investigators are now on-scene and more information will be released once it is available. The victim cannot be identified until after the autopsy is complete.
