Ongoing incident in East Village

Due to an ongoing incident in the East Village area, access to downtown will be significantly impacted today, Thursday, March 28, 2024. Multiple bridges in the downtown area will be closed in order for emergency crews to work. There is no risk to the public at this time. 

The Reconciliation Bridge, the Fourth Avenue flyover and the Fifth Avenue flyover will all be closed in both directions to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic as police and emergency crews work in the area. 

Please plan alternate routes as we anticipate significant delays impacting access to downtown.
