One person in custody after Evergreen shooting

The Calgary Police Service has one person in custody in relation to a shooting that occurred this morning in southwest Calgary.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at approximately 2:20 a.m., police were called to the 2500 block of Fish Creek Boulevard S.W. for reports of gunshots in the community of Evergreen.

Upon police arrival, one shooting victim was located near his vehicle on Fish Creek Boulevard and transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A short time later, police located a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting at a nearby gas station on Everridge Drive S.W. The driver of the stolen vehicle was also transported to hospital for an unknown medical issue, but was subsequently released into police custody where he remains.

The passenger of the stolen vehicle was also transported to hospital with gunshot injuries where he remains in critical condition.

This is believed to be a targeted shooting. 

As this investigation is ongoing, no additional information will be released at this time.

Investigators are looking to speak with citizens who may have witnessed the events that led to the shooting.
