One man injured in Castleridge shooting

We are investigating a shooting that took place in the northeast community of Castleridge this morning.

At approximately 7 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, we responded to reports of gunfire on the 0 to 100 block of Castleridge Close N.E. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Investigators believe that the suspect confronted the man at his home, shot him and fled in a stolen vehicle. The suspect is described as a male, between 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5’ 10” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a blue hoodie and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident. The vehicle is described as a black 2022 Jeep Cherokee with license plate BXY0501.

If members of the public see the vehicle or a suspect matching the description provided, do not approach them, immediately call 911.
