One man charged with drug offences - Hidden Valley

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man in relation to a drug investigation in the community of Hidden Valley.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2019, officers executed a search warrant in relation to a drug investigation at a residence, located in the 0 to 100 block of Hidden Creek Heights N.W. One man was arrested at the home and has since been charged with drug offences.

As a result of the search, police seized powder cocaine, illicit prescription drugs and a 9mm handgun.

Faroz RAHAD, 24, of Calgary, has been charged with four counts of trafficking cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, five counts of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and four counts of operating a vehicle contrary to disqualification. Additional charges are pending.

RAHAD will next appear in court on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

At the time of the arrest, several children were found in the home and it is believed a private dayhome was in operation. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
