One man charged following residential break-in and assault

We have charged a man in relation to a break and enter and assault that occurred in the southeast community of Erin Woods.

At approximately 1:10 p.m., on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, it is believed a man gained entry into a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Erin Woods Boulevard S.E., and assaulted a female resident. Shortly after, it is alleged that a physical altercation between the suspect and a second resident, a male victim, ensued.

Nearby residents who witnessed the incident contacted police. Upon arrival, one man was taken into custody.

As a result, Benjamin Ronald Lane JOHNSON, 30, is charged with one count of break and enter with intent to commit assault.

JOHNSON is scheduled to next appear in court on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025.
