Officer-involved shooting in Temple

At approximately 6:55 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, we responded to a firearms-related complaint in the 0 to 100 block of Templebow Way N.E. Upon arrival, one officer discharged their Service weapon. One man was shot in the leg and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The situation has been resolved, however police will remain in the area for several hours to secure the scene for investigators.

As with any officer-involved shooting, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called in to investigate.
