October 2025 photo enforcement locations

For the month of October, photo radar will focus on the following communities:

  • Abbeydale
  • Albert Park/Radisson Heights
  • Braeside
  • Cedarbrae
  • Cityscape
  • Evergreen
  • Glendale
  • Glengarry
  • Hidden Valley
  • Huntington Hills
  • Killarney
  • Montgomery
  • New Brighton
  • North Haven
  • Panorama Hills
  • Renfrew
  • Rosscarrock
  • Saddle Ridge
  • South Calgary
  • Westgate
  • West Hillhurst

Photo radar will also focus on construction zones where workers are present.

In addition to photo radar, as of Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, there are 57 Intersection Safety Camera (ISC) sites throughout the city that can capture red light infractions. Of those, five sites can also capture speed-on-green infractions.

These cameras continue to reduce collisions and foster a safer driving environment at our intersections.

As a reminder, on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, ISCs for both red-light and speed-on-green enforcement will be reactivated at:

  • Both eastbound and westbound 16 Avenue at 68 Street N.E.
  • Both eastbound and westbound Highway 1A at Twelve Mile Coulee Road N.W.

On Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, ISCs for both red-light and speed-on-green enforcement will be reactivated at eastbound 16 Avenue at 10 Street N.W.

Speeding fines reflect how fast you are travelling over the limit. Speeds in excess of 50 km/h over the speed limit result in an appearance before a judge.

So far in 2025, our officers have issued more than 600 tickets to drivers going 51 km/h or more, over the posted speed limit. These drivers not only put themselves in danger, but they also endanger the lives of others.
