Northwest CTrain Service Update

As a result of the damage to the overhead power wire Tuesday afternoon, CTrains will not be running between Crowfoot and Dalhousie Station today.

Crews are working on a temporary solution that will allow a CTrain shuttle to run on a single track between the two stations while repairs are being made. This temporary CTrain shuttle will run on Thursday and Friday. The shuttle train will result in a shorter trip than bus. It will also ensure that train frequency along the rest of the line is maintained.

While crews work over the weekend to return the system to normal operation, there will be no CTrain service between the two stations. Shuttle bus service will be in place between Crowfoot and Dalhousie Stations on Saturday and Sunday.

Calgary Transit expects CTrain service to resume normal operation for the start of service on Monday morning.

The cause of the damage is still under investigation at this time, but Calgary Transit’s main focus is on restoring service to customers.

Calgary Transit thanks our customers for their patience.
