Need to locate suspect in armed robberies - O'BRIEN

The Calgary Police Service is asking for help to locate a man wanted on warrants in connection with an armed robbery.

At approximately 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019, a man entered a restaurant in the 400 block of Erin Woods Dr. S.E. After being served at the bar, the man pointed a shotgun at the server, demanding money. Once he was given the money, he exited the premises.

It is believed the same man was involved in a similar robbery earlier in the day at a gas station in the 300 block of Cranston Road S.E.

Calvin O’BRIEN, 28, of Calgary, is wanted on warrants for one count each of robbery with a restricted or prohibited firearm, possession of an imitation weapon for dangerous purposes, carrying a concealed weapon and pointing a firearm. He also faces three counts of failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance.

O’BRIEN is approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build, black hair and hazel eyes. Photos of O’BRIEN are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
