Need to identify youth suspects in assault

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a group of youths believed to be involved in an assault that occurred in the city's southwest in May.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, it is believed that a youth was violently assaulted by a group of unknown youths at Sandy Beach Park, located at 4500 14A Street S.W.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

After reviewing CCTV footage, investigators have identified several suspects and believe there may be additional individuals involved.

Due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, images of the youths cannot be released; however, blurred images are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
