Need to identify suspect in northeast hit-and-run investigation

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a driver who was involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run in the northeast community of Taradale.

At approximately 7:10 a.m., on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, members were called to the intersection of Tarington Way and Taradale Drive N.E. for reports of a hit-and-run. Upon arrival, officers located a boy in medical distress.

It is believed the boy was crossing the road at a marked crosswalk when a white, four-door sedan entered the intersection and struck him. The car drove off without stopping. Bystanders assisted the boy, and he was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident, to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
