Need to identify suspect in indecent act

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a man believed to be involved in an indecent act near a northeast playground.

On December 12, 2025, at approximately 12:48 p.m., it is believed an intoxicated man was observed in the northeast community of Whitehorn near a playground, possibly recording children with a smartphone. The man was later seen engaging in inappropriate behaviour in a public area and left after being approached by members of the public.

Investigators canvassed the area for witnesses and camera footage but have been unable to find an image of the suspect to identify him. A composite sketch of the man has been created and we are releasing it to the public in the interest of advancing the investigation.

The suspect is believed to be of South Asian descent, 70 to 80 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, with a medium build, a medium complexion and having a white-tipped beard with black roots and distinctive brown and red patches. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black headphones, navy-blue work pants, black shoes, a black toque, a blue puffer jacket and using a white and gold-coloured smartphone.
