Need To Identify - Armed Robbery Suspects

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify two men believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies of convenience stores in which at least one clerk was assaulted.

In each of the three robberies, two men have entered the convenience stores armed with what is believed to be a sawed-off shotgun and have either threatened or assaulted the clerks before obtaining undisclosed items prior to fleeing. The latest robbery, which occurred on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, left a clerk with minor injures.

The robberies have occurred:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, approximately 1 a.m., at 9909 Fairmont Drive S.E.
  • Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at approximately 9:50 p.m., at 4242 7 Street S.E.
  • Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at approximately 7:15 a.m., at 7005 18 Street S.E.

The first suspect is described as approximately 6’ tall, with a medium build. The second suspect is described as approximately 5’9” tall, with a medium to heavy build. CCTV photos of the suspects are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

Police are asking convenience stores to be extra diligent in safety measures and for employees to call police if they witness any suspicious activity or persons.
