Police request help to find 12-year-old missing girl

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate a 12-year-old girl.

Mara BUTLER was last seen leaving the northwest community of Ranchlands on Thursday, July 8, 2021, sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.

BUTLER is 5’4” tall, approximately 120 lbs., has a medium build with brown eyes and blonde hair. BUTLER was wearing a white tube top, pyjama pants and rubber boots with a floral pattern when she went missing.

BUTLER is known to frequent the City of Airdrie.

At this time, there is nothing to indicate foul play is involved. Although this case does not meet the threshold of an Amber Alert, we are working with our partners at the Missing Children Society of Canada to issue a notice in hopes of locating BUTLER.
