Media Availability: Testing area for drones and new technologies opens
Media are invited to join The City of Calgary and Calgary Economic Development for the official opening celebration of the Point Trotter Autonomous Systems Testing Area (Point Trotter ASTA). Point Trottier ASTA provides Calgary businesses, industry and researchers with a low cost and accessible place to test drones, autonomous vehicles or the next big innovation.
When: Friday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
Where: SAIT Fabrication Lab located at 10490 72 St. S.E. (please see attached map)
What: Opening of Point Trottier Autonomous Systems Testing Area
Representatives from The City of Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, and SAIT will be available to speak with media about the site. Following a brief program, there will be an opportunity to observe drone testing demonstrations.
