Media Availability: Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail interchange improvements nearing completion

Media are invited to a special event on Tuesday, August 22 from 10:00– 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the upcoming completion interchange improvements at Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail and the widening of 112 Avenue N.W.

The interchange improvements will make the interchange safer, more efficient for all users and will help reduce travel times for motorists and commercial traffic. The widening of 112 Avenue N.W. between 69 Street and Sarcee Trail increases the capacity of the area road network, makes the roadway safer for all vehicles, especially trucks and commercial vehicles, and better accommodates the needs of local industries.

The program will feature Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Ward 2 Councillor Joe Magliocca, and Calgary-Hawkwood MLA Michael Connolly.

When: Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.

What: Event to celebrate the upcoming completion interchange improvements at Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail and the widening of 112 Avenue N.W.

Where: Entrance to Calgary Inland Athletic Park, 5563 – 112 Avenue N.W. (see attached map). A flag person will assist you in parking half-way down the entrance way. Once parked, make your way to the nearby white tent.
