Media Availability: Newcomers officially welcomed to Calgary

Members of the media are invited to attend a special ceremony and resource fair welcoming newcomers to our city at The Calgary Municipal Building on Saturday, March 12, 2016. This formal programme will include a traditional First Nations blessing and traditional singing ceremony.

Immediately following the official presentation, there will be a brief photo and interview opportunity in the Grant MacEwan Library (Historic City Hall).

Please note this is not a public event and attendees have been included by invitation only. As such, and in consideration of the sensitivities of our many underage guests, photography will be limited to the stage of the official presentation.

Free parking for media attending this event is available on first-come, first-served basis at City Hall Parkade.
