Media Availability: New Year’s Eve Celebrations

The City of Calgary is hosting a media availability on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. This availability will give media the chance to learn more about the fun activities planned for Calgarians at the celebrations on New Year’s Eve.

This New Year’s Eve, Calgarians can ring in 2018 with a free Outdoor Celebration and countdown to midnight, beginning with a Countdown Ball and closely followed by a special fireworks feature from the Calgary Tower and the ENMAX fireworks at Olympic Plaza. We also have a free Family Dance Party at the Municipal Building atrium with a kid’s countdown at 9 p.m.

         Samba dancing performance in front of The Northern Reflections Window Exhibition on
         the main floor window of the building.

When: Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, 9 a.m.
